No Time to Fly Like the (Not) Present

Well the summer travel season is upon us. From this story it appears that this summer is going to be miserable going anywhere by plane. There are crew shortages, and funny weather. Wherever you're going, make sure to pack your patience. Keep in mind too, that this article was written before some person(s) decided to park their car inside the Glasgow Airport's main terminal. (Not to get off topic, but I don't think there could be a rougher first few days for United Kingdom's new Prime Minister, Gordon Brown.)

When you travel it helps to remember a few things. Time is very important. If you can spare an hour and get to the airport earlier, that will save an immense amount of stress. This especially applies if you are traveling abroad. There are so many variables that can occur internationally that time is like gold in keeping your trip plans straight. Also, this may just be me, but when I travel internationally, I don't mind the airports. I like to check out the stores since they have such a wide variety of items. If you're traveling in the U.S. and have bought your ticket from someone who has mobile alerts (like Orbitz), use them. They'll let you know each let of your flight status and allow you gain valuable time planning time if need be on the rest of your unwitting co-passengers.

Hopefully this helps, but at the end of the day I believe it is mostly good luck and flexible timing that will get you to your destination in one piece (on time is a different story).
